MARC MEANS BUSINESS
Today Lon Smith Roofing was honored to welcome our friend, Congressman Marc Veasey, to one of our Dallas work sites.
We first met Congressman Veasey last year when he took part in our Roof for Vets program where we build a free roof for a worthy veteran. At the event, we talked to Congressman Veasey about our business and about the fact we are not only the largest residential roofing contractor in Texas but we are headquartered in his Congressional District.
Since that time we’ve been talking to Congressman Veasey about taking part in his “Marc Means Business” program. This is where Congressman Veasey selects a business in his district and then joins them for a day on the job.
Today, Congressman Veasey is on top of a house in Dallas as we build a new roof for a customer. He noted that he chose Lon Smith as a way to celebrate Small Business Week.
“Kicking off #SmallBusinessWeek with the folks at Lon Smith Roofing,” he said as he was fitting for safety gear so he could get on top of the roof. “Excited to spend April’s Marc Means Business’ work day with them.”
